The following conditions will result in compulsory licensing:
If the invention is a result of joint efforts of several individuals, the ownership of the patent shall belong to them equally, unless otherwise multilaterally agreed upon. A person, whose activities were limited to help, carrying the invention into effect, shall not be considered a joint inventor.
If more than one person has individually achieved the same invention, the patent of invention shall be granted to whoever first applied for filing the invention to the Competent Department.
The patentee may, if introducing any modification or amendment to the original invention, be granted patent of addition.
Yemen is a member of Paris Convention but not of Patent Cooperation Treaty.

Pending and granted patents are searched by title, patentee name and/or priority date.
Due annually on the anniversary of the filing date, and for the time being, no surcharge for late payment of maintenance fees.
