10 years starting the date of the application. Protection may continue for another 5 years if the owner submits an application for renewal during the last year of each period.
A Power of Attorney duly legalized up to Kuwait Consulate;
An Extract from the Commercial Register, Articles of Incorporation or Memorandum of Association, if the applicant is a company, duly legalized up to Kuwait Consulate;
An Assignment Deed duly legalized up to Kuwait Consulate, if the applicant is not the inventor; and
Title and brief description of the design with two copies of its drawings.
The application shall be rejected and the applicant for registration may, within 30 days from the date of notification, appeal to the Commercial Court of First Instance against the decision.
